Carly Pearce candidly — and hilariously — responded to a post-tour moment Kelsea Ballerini recently shared on TikTok.
Ballerini “protected my hair, felt like hannah montana, and got the after show nickname rufus. last night of tour shed,” she wrote in her caption on TikTok on April 17. The clip, set to “This Is The Life” by Hannah Montana, shows a behind-the-scenes look at how Ballerini and a hairstylist removed her wig after the shows on her first-ever headlining arena tour. Thousands of TikTokers and concertgoers said in the comments they “literally never would’ve known” the country star was wearing a wig during her performances. Commenters also said Ballerini is “so real” for sharing.
On Friday (May 2), Pearce, who is getting ready to play the final few shows on her “hummingbird world tour,” also shared a glimpse of her post-show wig removal, though she acknowledged she does it a bit differently.
“My sweet friend, Kelsea, posted a two-minute video where she very delicately, very professionally, very correctly, very gracefully, takes her wig off. and I feel called out. I feel like I’m clearly not doing it right because this is how long it takes me to take my wig off,” Pearce said as she demonstrated for her social media followers. She added in her caption on TikTok, “you can take the girl out of Kentucky, but you can’t take Kentucky out of the girl 😂”
Commenters on Pearce’s TikTok on Friday said they “cackled,” “it’s giving Hannah revealing she’s actually Miley on a talk show,” “I had no idea you wore a wig,” “I wasn’t ready for that,” and more. another said: “Hahahahahaha. I LOVE you…. Both of you. Queens!”
