Bunnie Xo shared an honest update on her “isolating” IVF journey on the latest episode of Dumb Blonde.

She said that she’s “not telling you every detail, but I will tell you things about it because honestly, when I was going through this, I realized how lonely of a journey IVF is. It’s very lonely,” Bunnie Xo said in a clip of the podcast she shared on Sunday (March 23). “Granted, you have people surrounding you, and you know, hopefully if you’re going through it, you have friends, family, who love you and know you’re going through it. But at the same time, it’s just you and these f***ing hormones, and the waiting, and the egg retrieval, and you’re the only person who can go through that, you know?

“Honestly, especially during IVF meds, it’s like a f***ing slot machine in Vegas,” Bunnie Xo continued. “You never know what you’re gonna get. It’s a different outcome. What works for some, doesn’t work for others. Age is a factor. There’s just so many things that go into it, and I don’t want to say that I was blind and thought, ‘oh, I’m gonna do one retrieval and it’s gonna be perfect.’ No, I didn’t think that. I never thought that, but I had hope.

Shoutout to all the girls on TikTok who document their journeys, who share information, who share emotions. …Just know that you’re not alone, and just know that there’s so many of us girls that are doing it. And if you really want a community, go find the f***ing TikTok IVF girlies, man. They’re so sweet to each other.”

Bunnie Xo’s husband, reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year Jelly Roll, revealed on an episode of Bussin’ With The Boys in June 2024 that the couple wanted a baby. Jelly Roll was talking about his health journey at that time — including weight loss transformation of more than 60 pounds — and shared that part of his motivation is because “my wife and I are talking about having a baby.”

Bunnie Xo shared a clip of that podcast moment on TikTok, and opened up about her IVF journey. She wrote in her caption at that time, “God willing, Baby DeFord 2026.” Shortly after Jelly Roll’s appearance on Bussin’ With The Boys, Bunny Xo said she would no longer share details about her IVF journey on social media because she received some “gross” comments online. However, Bunnie Xo opted to share “honest update” on Dumb Blonde with a few details about her experience — including “getting yelled at” by an IVF doctor and the egg retrieval process — and a message to others that “you’re not alone.” Listen to the full episode on iHeartRadio here (warning: language).
