Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson was ruled out for the remainder of his team's Monday Night Football game against the Houston Texans after suffering a concussion, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

"Cowboys now have ruled out Jake Ferguson," Schefter wrote on his X account after previously posting that he was "being evaluated for a concussion."

Ferguson, 25, recorded one reception for 11 yards before being ruled out of Monday's (November 18) game. The third-year tight end previously missed the Cowboys' Week 2 loss to the New Orleans Saints due to an MCL sprain and bone bruise that ruled him out midway through a Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Ferguson entered Monday's game with 42 receptions for 358 yards and zero touchdowns in eight prior appearances. The former University of Wisconsin standout is coming off a career-best season in which he recorded recorded 71 receptions for 761 yards and five touchdowns on 102 targets in 2023.

Ferguson was selected by the Cowboys at No. 129 overall in the fourth-round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has recorded 133 receptions for 1,304 yards and seven touchdowns in 41 career games.

Dallas entered Monday's game at 3-6 overall, facing a four-game losing streak. The Texans entered at 6-4, ranked first in the AFC South Division standings.
