Craig Morgan just proved that he knows the best ways to spoil his grandson. The “That’s What I Love About Sunday” singer stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday morning (May 26). That's when he told the talk show’s beloved host that sometimes, bonding with his grandson means ditching the family's typical diet of healthy foods for some delicious powdered donuts every once in a while (even if his daughter isn't on board with it).
“We’re all super healthy eaters, but you know… every now and then, a kid deserves a powdered donut. They have to experience it,” Morgan explained of his reasoning. Kelly Clarkson, who showed a video of Morgan’s grandson’s adorable excitement to eat a donut, replied, “this is what’s amazing: I feel like I still get that same, like, ‘woo!’ with sugar. It’s so good and bad for you. But I love that, you’re a grandpa, you’re allowed to spoil them a little bit.”
Morgan added that “we’re supposed to” spoil grandkids. “It’s like, you have all of the same things that you had with kids without any guilt. I don’t feel bad giving him a sugared donut.”
