Nashville's award-winning troubadour Chris Stapleton helps us turn over a new leaf in his current single, "Starting Over."
Sometimes change isn't easy, but Chris had some words of wisdom to share with Cody Alan.
"Every so often, in our lives, we are presented with moments and choices, and some of them are easy choices to make, you know, opportunities or things like that. But, others are not so easy ones, and we are forced to pull up our bootstraps and march along," says Chris with an earnest and gravelly tone.
"I think [Mike Henderson] was thinking about the harder ones," Chris continued as he told the story of how this song came to fruition in the writing room. "You distill that down to if you had a spouse or partner for a long time. Being in that space with someone, there is hope in it, and there is promise. Sure, there is hardship in it. Absolutely. But, everybody goes through that."

"The cool thing that I find in this song is that it is written from a perspective of hope," says Chris. "There is some light, even if you can't see it."
"Starting Over" shares the idea that there's the promise of making something a little better. As 2021 approaches, we can all be hopeful that these lyrics ring true. Give it a listen by clicking the link below.
