EXCLUSIVE: From Stage To Screen With Tim McGraw

We typically think of Tim McGraw as being a country singer, but that isn’t always the case. On numerous occasions, Tim McGraw has also been spotted on the silver screen as an actor.

So, what is it like to leap from stage to screen?

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Tim shared that even he is surprised by his success.

“Who would have thought?” laughed Tim. “For me, movies are odd because I don’t have a lot of control over anything except for choosing what I want to do.”

As an entertainer, Tim is accustomed to choosing everything from setlists, stage lights, and tour routes. That’s not the case in movies. Tim set the stage for the process of movie-making. “You show up, you do what they tell you to do, you wear the clothes they want you to wear, you do everything as they tell you to do it, and you learn your lines and perform. There’s no instant gratification. You don’t know how you did. Once its over, they go and take it all away to an editing team and put it together how they want.”

“They” clearly know what they are doing. Tim has landed numerous onscreen accolades and has been awarded roles in movies like “The Blindside,” “Flicka,” “Friday Night Lights,” “The Shack,” and others.
