Luke Combs is āpumpedā to officially release his soulful cover of an Ed Sheeran song, following popular demand from fans who have heard the award-winning country artistās live covers.
āEver since I started playing āDive,ā I heard all of the requests for me to release it everywhere,ā Combs said on his Instagram story on Friday (October 28). āWell, Iām pumped to announce it is now available wherever you listen to music!ā
Earlier this year, Sheeran joined Combs on stage while the reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year headlined the C2C: Country to Country music festival, treating the crowd to a live cross-genre collaboration. The two artists reportedly teamed up to perform āDiveā during the show, Sheeranās song that appears on his 2017 albumĀ Ć·. Combs had previously covered the song, apparently garnering big responses from fans eager for him to release it: āSo don't call me baby/ Unless you mean it/ Don't tell me you need me/ If you don't believe it/ So let me know the truth/ Before I dive right into you.ā
Combsā latest album to release is Growinā Up. The 12-track project ā including āDoinā This,ā āTomorrow Me,ā āGoing, Going, Goneā and other fan-favorites ā released in June, days after Combs and his wife, Nicole, welcomed their firstborn child. Combs said at the time that the album, āhas been such a long time in the making: So many hours spent in the studio, in the writing room, trying to get these things perfect and trying to get it out to you.
